Thero Services played a crucial role in guaranteeing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance across nine hospitals in Gauteng Province, under the directive of the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID). One of the hospitals Thero Services provided services for was the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. With an in-depth understanding of South African OHS laws, global best practices, and specific Infrastructure Unit Support Systems (IUSS) standards, Thero Services meticulously assessed each hospital's infrastructure. They identified areas needing improvement and implemented necessary measures to enhance safety protocols, covering everything from examining general wards to upgrading storage facilities and sanitation practices. This thorough approach ensured that all hospital operations met regulatory standards, prioritizing the safety of both staff and patients.

Moreover, Thero Services took responsibility for ensuring compliance with building and infrastructure regulations, addressing key areas like building codes, structural integrity, and accessibility standards. Through close collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development, Thero Services devised customized solutions to address any identified infrastructural shortcomings. This proactive strategy not only ensured adherence to local and international regulations but also strengthened the resilience and effectiveness of hospital facilities, ultimately improving their ability to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community. Additionally, Thero Services showcased a commitment to environmental sustainability by leading initiatives aimed at reducing the hospitals' ecological impact. By integrating sustainability principles into waste management, food practices, and energy management, Thero Services contributed to advancing the sustainability agenda within the healthcare sector, setting a positive example for responsible infrastructure development and environmental stewardship in the region.
