In response to the catastrophic fire incident at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) in April 2021, Thero Services, a longstanding partner of the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), assumed a pivotal role in orchestrating comprehensive building and infrastructure compliance measures alongside occupational health and safety protocols. Throughout the duration of the project, Thero Services operated in strict accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and National Building Regulations, ensuring that every aspect of the refurbishment aligned with statutory requirements. Their comprehensive suite of services extended beyond mere compliance, encompassing the procurement of essential permits such as Construction Work Permits, Demolition Permits, and City of Johannesburg Concessions, thereby facilitating a streamlined and legally sound reconstruction process.
