Gauteng Department of Health – OHS Training – 1-3 March 2022 – Thero Services Offices

Thero Services recently conducted an intensive three-day training session for key personnel within the Gauteng Department of Health. From CEOs to middle management and facilities operations managers, over three days from March 1st to 3rd, 2022, participants immersed themselves in a transformative learning experience. Led by the seasoned facilitator Olga Mlaudzi, the training aimed to equip attendees with essential knowledge and skills pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance specific to healthcare facilities.

The training initiative, conceived as a gesture of gratitude and support to the Gauteng Department of Health, underscored Thero Services' commitment to its clients' long-term success. With a focus on empowerment and information dissemination, the sessions delved into the intricacies of OHS compliance within the context of healthcare facilities across Gauteng. Participants were provided with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, best practices, and practical strategies for implementation. By imparting this crucial knowledge, Thero Services sought to enable attendees to navigate and address operational challenges effectively, fostering safer and more compliant healthcare environments.

Attendees numbering over 30 per day actively engaged in discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, enhancing their understanding and application of OHS principles. Under Olga Mlaudzi's expert guidance, participants gained insights into identifying potential hazards, mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of safety within their respective healthcare facilities. The topic of Health Care Facility OHS Compliance - A Basic Guide to Compliance served as a foundational framework, laying the groundwork for ongoing professional development and operational excellence within the Gauteng healthcare landscape.
